SIMI VALLEY: BRIEFLY : YOUTH CLUB BOARD ADDS NEW MEMBER.

SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - The Boys & Girls Club Girls Club is a 2002 American television series created by David E. Kelley, who was also it's producer and executive producer. Only two out of a total of thirteen episodes created were broadcast on Fox Television in the United States and Global Television in Canada.  of Simi Valley announced Tuesday the appointment of Donald Bitner, manager of Corporate Security for Amgen, to its board of directors.

Center to accept rubbish for free

SIMI VALLEY - Residents of Simi Valley may dispose of rubbish for free Sunday at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center.

In addition to rubbish, separated appliances, clean concrete and asphalt, clean wood and green waste will be accepted for recycling from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the center, 2801 Madera Road.

Residents are asked to separate recyclable materials from rubbish so it can be recycled and not put into the landfill. Proof of Simi Valley residency, such as a driver's license, will be required. No commercial waste, tires or hazardous waste Hazardous waste

Treasure hunt, road rally planned

SIMI VALLEY - As part of this year's Simi Valley Days celebration, the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross. , East Valley District, will hold its second annual Car Rally and Treasure Hunt on Sunday.

Additional sponsors still are needed for the route of the treasure hunt, as are volunteers to work the day of the car rally. Preregistration pre·reg·is·tra·tion

An early registration, as for returning college students, that takes place before general registration.

The cost per person in each car is $25 and includes admission to the rally celebration. Current sponsors include Micom, SVMAR, Countrywide, New Urban West Inc. and Gold Coast Benefit Chorus.

Space available at arts, crafts fair

SIMI VALLEY - Applications are being accepted from individuals 50 years or older interested in reserving vendor space at the Simi Valley Council on Aging's annual Holiday Arts and Crafts arts and crafts, term for that general field of applied design in which hand fabrication is dominant. The term was coined in England in the late 19th cent. as a label for the then-current movement directed toward the revivifying of the decorative arts.  Fair.
