The Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  girls' 12-under Western National A.S.A. softball softball, variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Invented (1888) in Chicago as an indoor game, it was at various times called indoor baseball, mush ball, playground ball, kitten ball, and, because it was also played by women, ladies'  champions will be honored hon·or

Simi Valley, which won its district title and took fifth in the state, captured the Western National title by edging Placentia/Yorba Linda 1-0 in the title game in College Station, Texas College Station is a city in Brazos County, Texas, situated in Central Texas. It is located in the heart of the Brazos Valley. The city is located within the most populated region of Texas, near to three of the 10 largest cities in the United States - Houston, Dallas, and San , last month.

The Simi Valley 12-under champions outscored their opponents 49-8 during the tournament, getting terrific pitching from Katie Doering and Jesse Waers and clutch hitting from Christina Rodriguez, Kelly Kristiansen, Heather Erickson, Danielle Gaughen, Lauren Froehlich, Kelly Rowland and Ashlee Thompson.

The Simi Valley 12-under team consists of:
