SIMEX Signs Licensing Agreement With Dow Jones to Offer Dow Jones Malaysia and Thailand Stock Index Contracts.


SINGAPORE and NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1998--The Singapore International Monetary Exchange Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX)

 (SIMEX) and Dow Jones & Company (Dow Jones) announced today that SIMEX has been granted a license by Dow Jones to create and trade futures and options contracts based on the Dow Jones Malaysia and Thailand Stock Indexes.

The contracts are expected to be listed on SIMEX in November 1998.

The licensing agreement gives SIMEX exclusive rights to use both the Dow Jones Malaysia and Thailand Stock Indexes as the basis for futures and options trading during the market hours of the underlying stock markets.
