SIG sells Kautex & Blowtec units.


Last month, SIG Holding Ltd. in Switzerland Switzerland (swĭt`sərlənd), Fr. Suisse, Ger. Schweiz, Ital. Svizzera, officially Swiss Confederation, federal republic (2005 est. pop. 7,489,000), 15,941 sq mi (41,287 sq km), central Europe.  sold two blow molding divisions, Kautex and Blowtec, to investment firm Adcuram Beteiligungs AG of Munich Munich (my`nĭk), Ger. München (mün`khən), city (1994 pop. 1,255,623), capital of Bavaria, S Germany, on the Isar River near the Bavarian Alps. , Germany. SIG, which acquired the companies four years ago when it bought Krupp Kunststofftechnik, plans to focus on its core business of liquid packaging systems for PET and paperboard paperboard, material similiar in shape and composition to paper, but generally thicker, stronger, and more rigid. Paper machines, e.g., Fourdrinier machines, are used to make sheets of paperboard.  containers.
