SIFCO Industries Appoints New Director.

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 1999--

SIFCO Industries, Inc. (AMEX:SIF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Maurice Foley as an additional Director to the company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Foley holds an MBA degree from the National University of Ireland (Dublin) and has substantial aviation industry experience as a senior executive of Aer Lingus plc, the Irish airline, and of AerFi Group plc (formerly GPA Group plc), an aircraft financing company. He has been an outside director of SIFCO's Irish subsidiary since 1996 and has provided strategic advice to this company and other firms. Mr. Foley is currently an outside director of AerFi Group and of the Irish subsidiary of Newcourt Credit Group, Inc. He retired in March 1999 from the Board of the Irish subsidiary of ABN AMRO Bank NV. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Irish Museum of Modern Art and a member of the Board of the Graduate Business School at the National University of Ireland (Dublin).
