SIERRA ON-LINE NAMES PRESIDENT OF THE IMAGINATION NETWORK

 BELLEVUE, Wash., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Sierra On-Line Inc. (NASDAQ: SIER) today announced that Morris Goldstein has been named president of The ImagiNation Network (INN), jointly owned by Sierra On-Line, AT&T and General Atlantic Partners.
 Ken Williams, chief executive officer of Sierra On-Line, said, "Morry Goldstein is a great addition to head the INN management team. His expertise in a highly profitable consumer-based electronic information business will be very valuable as he leads INN forward."
 Formerly president of the Ziff-Davis Electronic Information Division, he was responsible for six Ziff-Davis information-based companies. Goldstein has an extensive background in computer systems and information services. He served 10 years as president of Information Access Co. (IAC), an information publisher that creates and indexes a database from 4,000 periodicals. In addition, Goldstein served as director of Business Development and Acquisitions for the Ziff-Davis Publishing Co. in New York.
 Earlier in his career, Goldstein held a number of executive positions with the Courier-Journal Louisville Times Co., including president of Sedgwick Printout Systems in Princeton, N.J. Previously, he worked in computer sales for RCA Corp. in Cherry Hill, N.J.
 Founded in 1991, The ImagiNation Network, formerly known as The Sierra Network, is an on-line, interactive, multiplayer entertainment service offering games and educational content over common telephone lines to home personal computers.
 AT&T, a global communications and computer company, operates the world's largest and most advanced long-distance services for consumers, businesses and government.
 General Atlantic Partners, founded in 1980, is a private investment firm that concentrates its investment activity in the computer software and services industry.
 Sierra On-Line Inc. develops and publishes interactive entertainment and educational software for IBM PCs and PC-compatibles, Apple Macintosh computers and Sega-CD systems.
