SIEMENS HAS NEW FAMILY OF MICROCONTROLLERS.

Siemens AG has entered the OTP One Time Programmable chip market with a new range of eight and 16-bit mass-market controllers with on-chip OTP memory. There are six variants, including an eight-bit microcontroller with on-chip LCD controller and driver, called the C505L. Siemens will target automotive, industrial, consumer and telecoms markets. Major applications for non-volatile memory OTPs include washing machines, digital terminals, satellite receivers and video recorders.
