Earlier in the month, SIECUS and MTV chose a 17-year-old from Punxsutawney as the winner of the Protect Yourself With Good Charlotte national sex education contest. The contest called for young people ages 15-24 to submit an essay detailing why their hometown needs sexuality education. The winner's essay was chosen from over 14,000 entries submitted. She won a sexual health forum for her hometown (presented by SIECUS and MTV), followed by a special performance by Good Charlotte for 50 of her friends and the junior and senior classes of the Punxsutawney Area High School.
