 Business Outlook Conference.

Sponsored by the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, the conference will be held Friday at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground. .

The conference's program will highlight ``AV's Pioneers in Space.''

SpaceShipOne designer Burt Rutan Elbert Leander "Burt" Rutan (born June 17, 1943 in Estacada, Oregon) is an American aerospace engineer noted for his originality in designing light, strong, unusual-looking, energy-efficient aircraft.  and pilots Mike Melvill Michael Winston "Mike" Melvill (born November 1941) is one of the test pilots for SpaceShipOne, the experimental spaceplane developed by Scaled Composites. Melvill piloted SpaceShipOne on its first flight past the edge of space, flight 15P on June 21, 2004, thus becoming the first  and Brian Binnie William Brian Binnie (born 1953) is one of the test pilots for SpaceShipOne, the experimental spaceplane developed by Scaled Composites.

Binnie was born in West Lafayette, Indiana, where his Scottish father was a professor of physics at Purdue University.
 will share the spotlight as the conference keynote speakers.

Other speakers will include Lucetta Dunn, director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development; David Dickinson, senior vice president of Delta Scientific Corp.; Reza Soltanian, president of Regent Aerospace Corp.; and James L. Ebanks, senior director of Realty Advisory Group, Binswanger.

McKeon, a Santa Clarita Republican whose district includes part of the Antelope Valley, has spent 12 years in Congress, with membership on the education and armed services committees. He was on the first Santa Clarita City Council from 1987 to 1992 and was the city's first mayor.

Sidhu analyzes industry and economic trends for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, a private, nonprofit organization Nonprofit Organization

An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well.

 dedicated to promoting business growth in the county.

Conference guests will be shown a video called ``Antelope Valley: Pioneers in Space,'' featuring interviews with public and business officials. Videotaped presentations will also focus on local family businesses, including Vallarta Markets and Monte Vista Properties.

Guests will receive a 2005 demographic and economic study containing statistics on employment, education, housing, film production and other industries.

Registration for the conference will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the event will conclude at 3 p.m. Tickets are $150 each, and a table of eight is $1,200. The price includes a continental breakfast, luncheon, video and conference publications. To order tickets, call the Board of Trade office at (661) 942-9581.
