SIDEWAYS GLANCE NOT JUST ANOTHER HALO VICTORY CELEBRATION.

Byline: - Tom Hoffarth

--The goods: The official 2002 World Series highlight video/DVD, by Major League Baseball "MLB" and "Major Leagues" redirect here. For other uses, see MLB (disambiguation) and Major Leagues (disambiguation).

 Productions and Q-Video.

--The cost: $19.95

--The release: In stores Tuesday, can be ordered online at MLB.com and by phone at 1-800-BASEBALL

--The scoop: These kind of annual productions tend to follow a form - the dramatic music over the slow-motion, zoom-in clips, etc. But as you watch this, consider the monumental task trying to mesh all these elements together in a documentary fashion that's also entertaining.

There is video to choose from not just from Fox's telecast, but the MLB MLB Major League Baseball
MLB Minor League Baseball
MLB Middle Linebacker (football)
MLB Motor Life Boat
MLB Matt Leblanc (actor)
MLB Mother Love Bone (band)
crew on the scene at every game. There's audio not just from the network, but each team's radio broadcast, as well as ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network . And there are fresh sit-down interviews with all important players, managers and coaches after each game that are spliced in. Add to that the right choice of music and a voice-over narration that has to glue it all together.

And get it done a few weeks after the last out is recorded.

With those deadlines, this is one very thorough, impressive highlight compilation that retells a story Disney probably wouldn't have believed if presented in script form.

In about an hour and a half, this ``Heaven In Seven'' entitled production recaps the regular season and playoffs before it retakes viewers through each game of the World Series and recaps important moments with extended video and analysis. Even with all the drama, nothing is overlooked - including a meeting the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Giants' J.T. Snow has with comedian Robin Williams, who congratulated him on the ``save'' of Dusty Baker's son in Game 5.

As for the game calls, those by Angels radio play-by-play man Rory Markas Rory Markas (born in Chatsworth, California) is the lead radio play-by-play sports broadcaster for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball team and the men's basketball team of the University of Southern California, both carried on Los Angeles' ESPN Radio-operated station, KSPN.  probably are used more than anyone else - and expertly inserted each time. He's gotta look into a royalties fee for this one.

version packs an extra punch - 40 minutes more - with footage from key moments in each game as it was shown on Fox. There's also a 1939 movie clip of former Angels owner Gene Autry singing ``Back in the Saddle Again'' from his heyday, and an interesting behind-the-scenes clip from the ``Baseball's Greatest Moments'' gathering that shows commissioner Bud Selig Allan Huber "Bud" Selig, Jr. (born July 30, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is the Commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was previously the team owner and administrator of the Milwaukee Brewers.  actually shaking hands with banished non-Hall of Famer Pete Rose.

But this section, for some reason, has music videos of two new Tom Petty songs that have no connection whatsoever to this series, let alone the sport. At least Petty singing ``The Waiting Is the Hardest Part'' would have been appropriate for the Angels.

--The extra treat: There's a Fleer fleer
