LANCASTER - Intended to be just another performance by vocalist Louis Sacco, ``Showstoppers'' will now be his Antelope Valley goodbye.

``(I'm) going to audition and keep on auditioning until the project is over. In that process, hopefully I'll meet students,'' said Sacco. ``I'm just going to take one day at a time One Day at a Time is a long-running American situation comedy that portrayed a divorced mother, played by Bonnie Franklin, her two teenage daughters (Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli) and their building superintendent (Pat Harrington, Jr.).  like I do here. I have no doubt that I'll do well.''

Sacco hasn't given himself a deadline to become successful and has no doubts that he will succeed.

``If you're going to do something, you can't go into it thinking you're going to fail. That makes no sense,'' said Sacco, who four years ago gave up a Warner Bros BROS Brothers

In ``Showstoppers'' this weekend at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre. , Sacco will be joined onstage by Ricco Fajardo, Sabrina Hart, Robert Jalon and Laura Simonson in performing 15 Broadway tunes.

``The second act of the show, the theme is a little bit more about leaving for New York, getting me prepared,'' Sacco said.

Leading the ``Showstoppers'' band is Steve Pemberton, whose credits include the Boston Pops, gigs with Doc Severinsen, Ray Charles and Melissa Manchester.

A resident of the Antelope Valley since 1990, Sacco has been performing in theater professionally and regionally for those 15 years. He has a degree from the Boston Conservatory of Music and has taught voice for 20 years. He works at Antelope Valley College Antelope Valley College is a comprehensive community college located in Lancaster, California, USA. It is operated by the Antelope Valley Community College District, with a primary service area of 1,945 square miles covering portions of Los Angeles and Kern counties.  as an adjunct teacher.

While in New York, Sacco will pursue the sale of a musical, ``The Night Before Christmas n. 1. The popular name for a poem by

,'' that he co-wrote with Lancaster Performing Arts Center staffers Denise Cardona, Mary Tanner and Tanya Stowe. He also plans on shopping around a musical adaptation of ``A Christmas Carol'' that the foursome wrote.

It seems like time to move on, Sacco said.

``I'm sort of at the end of my game; there's nothing to strive for here ... Even though I made a wonderful life here, I need more,'' he said.

``Showstoppers'' will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Black Box theater For the theater in Oslo, Norway, see Black Box Teater.
