SHOOTING ATTACK LEAVES FOUR IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

Byline: Daily News

NORTH HOLLYWOOD -- Four men were in critical condition late Sunday after being shot outside an apartment building near the intersection of Vanowen Street and Morella Avenue, authorities said.

The shooting appears to be gang-related, according to Lt. John Romero, of the Los Angeles Police Department.

``It looks like all the victims are going to survive. Two may be related to each other,'' Romero said.

All of the men, ranging in age from 18 through 25, were sent to area hospitals, said Battalion Chief John Quintanar, of the Los Angeles Fire Department's Battalion 14.

The shooting took place just before 9 p.m. in the 11800 block of Vanowen Street.

Romero said police were gathering information, but it appeared that a number of assailants approached the men on foot and fled the area on foot.
