"Don't know the trade." A Street expression used whenever one party lacks knowledge of a trade or receives conflicting instructions from the other party.
 where to turn for help? You might want to tune into Jill Kessler's radio program devoted to dogs and the people who love them.

``The Dog Dish,'' airing Saturday afternoons on KTIE 590 AM, offers a mix of news, entertainment and advice in a talk-show format. Kessler, an obedience trainer and former president of the Golden State Rottweiler Rottweiler (rŏt`wīlər), breed of sturdy working dog developed from a Roman cattle dog introduced into S Germany more than 1,900 years ago. It stands from 21 3-4 to 27 in. The program, launched from Glendale six months ago, reaches listeners across the country and Canada. Although ``The Dog Dish'' is not a new concept (pet therapist Warren Eckstein hosts his own syndicated radio show, ``The Pet Show With Warren Eckstein''), Kessler says her show fills a need for dog owners hungry for information.

``It seemed like a great way to disseminate a ton of information at one time that was way beyond your average pet show - but a step up,'' says the Pacific Palisades Palisades, cliffs along the west bank of the Hudson River, NE N.J. and SE N.Y., extending from N of Jersey City, N.J., to the vicinity of Piermont, N.Y., with a general altitude of from 350 ft to 550 ft (107–168 m).  resident. ``I talk about health issues and stuff you wouldn't be able to open up a basic book to find out. Plus, I love to talk.''

Kessler usually kicks off her show with the latest news or one of her pet peeves before asking callers a trivia question. Winners receive prizes for their precious pooches.

There is much discussion about what exactly defines a sport for dogs. Some issues:

``First and foremost, Jill is extremely knowledgeable about dogs of all breeds - from behavior to health,'' says Annie Navarro, a retired corporate meeting and event planner from Minden, Nev., who owns two Rottweilers and has been listening to ``The Dog Dish'' since it began airing in March. ``She brings a wide variety of interesting and educated people to talk about everything dogs.''
