SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE NAME CHANGE TO 'KCS ENERGY, INC.' EDISON, N.J., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Shareholders of KCS Group,
Inc. (NASDAQ: KCSG), today approved changing the company's name to KCS Energy, Inc., at the annual meeting of shareholders. Trading under the new name and the stock symbol "KCSE" will begin tomorrow.
James W. Christmas, president, said the new name "better reflects the focus of the company on energy." KCS is now one of the 100 largest oil and gas companies in the United States, he said. Shareholders also reelected G. Stanton Geary and John Kean Jr. to three-year terms as directors, approved the appointment of Arthur Andersen & Co as independent public accountants for the current fiscal year and approved adoption of the KCS 1992 stock plan.
