SHARE THE WONDERS OF A 'CHRISTMAS TO CHERISH' STARTING FRIDAY, NOV. 27, AT WEINSTOCKS

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24 ~PRNewswire~ -- It's a local tradition: Holiday fun at Weinstocks. And this season, it's especially enchanting, with Jingle Bear, the new JimminE Christmas elf and the Amusement Arcade. Shoppers will also have a special chance to brighten the holiday for local children in need. Bring the family and share a "Christmas To Cherish" at Weinstocks.
 Visit the Holiday Amusement Arcade
It's an old-fashioned treat people will remember from childhood -- and want to share with their favorite kids. Come to Country Club Plaza in Sacramento to ride the carousel, ferris wheel and hot cars and enjoy cotton candy, caramel and candy apples, popcorn and peanuts. Rides are $1 each or six for $5. The Arcade's open Friday, Nov. 27, at 9 a.m. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Special thanks to Butler Amusements for their support.
 Whisper Your Wishes in Santaland
That Merry Old Gent will be waiting to take notes Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enter his world on the second floor of the Downtown Plaza store. (P.S. His helpers will be happy to take photos with Santa for a nominal charge.)
Care for Children with Weinstocks' Giving Tree
Weinstocks, the Sacramento Bee, Y92 Radio, KCRA-TV are joining with the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Sacramento Inc. to help make Christmas special for many needy area children. Visit the Giving Tree at any Weinstocks store from Nov. 27 through Dec. 18. Each ornament on the tree tells about one needy child in the area. Choose an ornament. Purchase or bring in a gift for that child and give it to Weinstocks along with the ornament. Weinstocks will see that it's wrapped and then delivered to the child chosen. Call the local Weinstocks store for the name of the children's agency that will benefit from caring generosity.
Bring Jingle Bear and JimminE Elf Home for the Holidays
It wouldn't be Christmas without the cuddly white bear, all bundled up in his read sweater and hat. And this year, he's brought a new friend to meet: JimminE, a magical Christmas elf who's sure to charm everyone. Each one can be purchased while quantities last for $17.99 with any purchase. But hurry: they won't be around for long.
Collect All Seven 1992 Liberty Falls Miniatures
A reminder of America's rich past: seven exquisite cold-cast porcelain miniature houses and buildings, hand-cast and hand-painted in authentic detail. Each comes gift-boxed with a colorful narrative. Start or add to a charming tradition on the mantle or under the tree. Find a different style each week at the Christmas Outpost in any Weinstocks store, now through Dec. 24. Each is just $5. But hurry: quantities are limited.
 Have Breakfast with Santa
It's a treat for the whole family. Make reservations now at $6.95 per person, while there's still room at Santa's popular breakfast table. His delicious feasts start promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 12, and 19, and Thursday, Dec. 24, at Country Club Plaza, Downtown Plaza or Sunrise stores.
 Sacramento Santa Parade
Don't miss this Tenth Annual Yuletide extravaganza, co-sponsored by COOL 101.1 FM. The merriment begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at 14th and N streets. Come see the floats, marching bands, Weinstocks' Jingle Bear, and the star of the parade, Santa Claus himself. Reviewing stands are on N and L streets.
