Storage specialists SGI (SGI, Sunnyvale, CA, www.sgi.com) A manufacturer of workstations and servers, founded in 1982 by Jim Clark. The company was founded as Silicon Graphics, Inc., but changed to its acronym in 1999.  (Nasdaq:SGI) introduced Wednesday two new storage offerings, both of which are to be on display on the SGI booth at Storage Expo 2009 in London.

Both of the offerings are part of the SGI InfiniteStorage Total Control Suite, a set of modular software See modular programming.  and hardware tools designed to allow a high degree of customisation using standard components.

InfiniteStorage NAS (1) See network access server.
