SEX FOR SALE; Escort girls host parties in posh flats.

Byline: By LAURA CAROE

ESCORT girls have been hosting seedy sex parties in luxury flats next door to top tourist attractions.

They took place in the Baltic Quays, Gateshead, just feet away from the world-famous Millennium Bridge, the Sage and the Baltic Gallery.

Escorts Leigh and Alex advertised the parties with a pounds 20 entry fee, dubbed the Gentleman's Club, through sexually explicit postings on the internet.

Sickeningly graphic messages posted on an internet site described the outrageous going-ons.

But residents in the posh high-rise flats said they are sick of men filing in and out of the address and are demanding the end of the get togethers.

One upset neighbour even said his girlfriend had been approached and asked if she was a prostitute.

A website advertising the parties shows a picture of the Millennium Bridge and says: "If you can't find me stand here."

One flat owner said: "They are blatant about it.

"Everyone here knows what is going on.

"This is supposed to be one of the most exclusive addresses on Tyneside."

Today one of the girls confirmed to the Chronicle the parties had taken place but vowed they would stop.

Leigh said: "I am definitely not holding sex parties.

"I have nothing to hide but it is my work flat and it is just for me to see men on their own.

"I have had two gentlemen's parties but I won't be having any more and it is all very discreet, as it should be.

"All my neighbours are fine as we don't cause any problems.

"They all know exactly what I do and they don't mind."

On Leigh's website it said: "I am also available with Alex, a girlfriend of mine, for double the fun."

The site claimed she charges up to pounds 120 an hour for an in call-or home visit - and pounds 200 an hour with Alex.

A customer wrote about one of the parties on a website and said: "It was Leigh's first Gentleman's party.

"Many more to come I hope, fantastic line-up of girls, Leigh, Alex, May, Frankie.

"You couldn't wish for a better hostess, Leigh was a knockout and so were the girls."

A resident said: "They invite a number of men and ladies to join them for the sex parties which go on from noon and all the way until about midnight.

"The residents are sick of it all, men are in and out all day."

The ad for the gatherings read: "Gentleman's club, the party for the non party person, discrete sic, sensual experience, in comforting surroundings, choose your companion from four sexy ladies."

And residents say a number of other escorts are working in the block.

A 31-year-old flat owner who did not want to be named said: "There are punters wandering around the place. My girlfriend has been stopped in a lift and asked if she's Alex and if she's working tonight - they're mistaking her for a call girl.

"From what we can see there's two flats in our small block, the clients tend to be there 10 to 15 minutes and others can be there an hour."

Another resident said: "They have been having parties of 20 to 25 men here at a time.

"I don't earn a lot of money, but I spend a good chunk of money on where I live.

"We feel terrible, we want to move and we certainly wouldn't want to have children here."

Northumbria Police have no record of any complaints but a spokesman said: "We would urge anyone with any information regarding this type of activity taking place at Baltic Quays to get in touch with us and we will take positive action to investigate complaints."
