SEVEN NETWORK AUSTRALIA SIGNS WITH GE AMERICOM FOR INTERNATIONAL ACCESS
 PRINCETON, N.J., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the largest TV networks in Australia, Seven Satellite Pty. Ltd. (Seven Network Australia), and GE American Communications, Inc. (GE Americom) signed a multi-year agreement for international service to the Intelsat Pacific Ocean Region (POR) satellite system from GE Americom's major international earth station at South Mountain, Calif.
 This includes microwave, uplink and downlink services.
 This service, effective April 1992, brings news, sports and special events programming to the Channel 7 audience in Australia. Currently, Seven Network Australia, which reaches 94 percent of the Australian population, has stations in every mainland capital plus a chain of affiliated regionals.
 Seven Network Australia joins NHK and other international broadcast services requiring international connectivity from GE Americom's earth stations in South Mountain; Vernon Valley, N.J.; Etam, W.Va., and Andover, Maine.
 GE Americom, located in Princeton, uses the Satcom fleet -- five C-band and two Ku-band satellites -- to service cable television, broadcast radio and television, as well as business information and government markets. GE Americom is a subsidiary of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE).
