SES GLOBAL Receives 'Investment in Canada' Award Honoring Ciel Satellite Initiative; Award Presented by Canadian Ambassador in Brussels.

) (LuxX:SESG), was recognized today in Brussels, Belgium, the "Investment in Canada" Award from the Canadian Embassy and the Canada-Belgium-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce. This honour recognizes the SES Group's investment in the Ciel Satellite venture.

Kevin Smyth (born November 22, 1973 in Banff, Alberta) is a retired professional ice hockey player who played 58 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Hartford Whalers.

Ciel on March 16, 2006 awarded Alcatel Alenia Space with the contract to construct a new spacecraft to be known as Ciel-2. The Ciel-2 satellite is scheduled to launch in late 2008. Ciel Satellite was awarded the final license to operate a spacecraft at 129 degrees West from Industry Canada Industry Canada is the department of the Government of Canada with responsibility for regional economic development, investment, and innovation/research and development. The department employs 6104 FTEs across Canada.  in August 2005.
