SERVING SOFTWARE RANKS THIRD IN MAGAZINE LISTING OF
 FASTEST-GROWING HEALTHCARE INFORMATION SYSTEM VENDORS
MINNEAPOLIS, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The July issue of Healthcare Informatics magazine identified Serving Software, Inc., (NASDAQ: SERV) as the third fastest-growing healthcare information system vendor in the United States. Serving Software's revenues grew by 62.5 percent in 1991.
Two privately held companies -- Megasource, Inc., of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Management Systems Associates of Raleigh, S. C. -- ranked first and second in annual growth, according to Healthcare Informatics.
The magazine also listed Serving Software as 32nd among the top 50 healthcare information systems vendors in terms of annual revenue. The company had revenues of $9,100,000 in 1991, including revenues from its CAMS Division, acquired at year end.
"The financial analysis provided by Healthcare Informatics is the first of its type for our industry," said John Haugo, Serving Software's president and CEO. "We are excited about our growth and the fact that Serving Software, which was founded in 1984, is younger than any company ranked above us as far as sales revenue is concerned."
Serving Software develops, markets, installs, and services specialized software systems for hospital resource management which operate on PC-based local area networks. The company, located in Minneapolis, has more than 700 clients and is the leading provider of surgery management systems in the U.S. and Canada, with distributors in Germany, Italy and Great Britain.
