A short prayer service and luncheon will follow the program. ``The reason for the program is that it's a time away from the busyness of the week for quietness to think about seeing where you haven't been faithful to God or just in general,'' Hull said. ``Many of the disciplines people enter into during Lent, like fasting or giving up something, are things you do alone. Being in a community setting during this time reminds us how we are connected to one another. We're inviting people to come to all or part of the program to take part in the quietness. It will have a spiritually powerful effect.'' Georgia Tilly and Jean Desant, longtime long·time adj. I had to sit down and think about this one,'' Desant said. ``The Sermon on the Mount is so powerful. It was really a task.'' Desant said the program should prove interesting because of the exchange of a wide variety of opinions. ``You can read the Bible alone, but it's good to hear other people's opinions,'' said Desant. ``I think the program could give people hope. If people could just take the time to realize that God is in ultimate control. We need only turn to him in faith-filled prayer even when in our darkest despair.'' Tilly will discuss the sixth Beatitude: ``Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.'' ``The Sermon on the Mount is Jesus' way of teaching values and how to live. There are a lot of interpretations on the Beatitudes,'' Tilly said. ``I love the Beatitudes. They are my favorite My Favorite is an independent synthpop band from Long Island, New York.
