SEPTA SCHEDULES SET FOR NEW YEARS EVE & DAY
All night train service on Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines
on New Years Eve, extra trains on Regional Rail Route R5 both days
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- On New Year's Eve, SEPTA's city and suburban transit routes and regional rail routes will be on normal weekday schedules, with the addition of all night service on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines and two extra late night trains on Regional Rail Route R5 for the New Year's Eve light show and fireworks display at Penn's Landing, SEPTA said today.
On New Year's Day, all transit and railroad routes will be on Sunday schedules with Mummers Parade trains every eight minutes on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines and extra trains on the Paoli segment of Route R5.
 On New Year's Eve:
On the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines local train service will continue in operation between midnight and 5 a.m. with trains operating about every 30 minutes. Train service on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines normally ends at midnight.
On Regional Rail Route R5 two late night trains will be added to the schedule leaving Market-East Station. At 1 a.m., one will head for Paoli and the other for Lansdale. The trains will stop at all stations enroute. SEPTA said that commuters planning to board these trains at Market-East must use the entrance to the station at 10th & Filbert Streets (the Gallery entrances are closed at that hour).
 On New Year's Day:
The Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines will begin Mummers Parade service at 8 a.m. with trains every eight minutes until about 8 p.m.
On the Regional Rail Division, nine inbound and nine outbound trains will be added to the Paoli segment of Route R5. Inbound trains will run every half hour from Paoli to Center City Philadelphia from 10:04 a.m. to 6:04 p.m. Outbound trains will run every half hour from Suburban Station to Paoli from 11:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. The trains will stop at all stations enroute.
The parade will cause local detours on 19 SEPTA bus routes and three streetcar routes. Bus Routes C, G, 2, 7, 12, 17, 27, 31, 32, 33, 37, 38, 44, 47, 48, 68, 76 (the Ben Frankline), 124 and 125 will be detoured from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Buses replacing streetcars on Route 23 and trackless streetcars on Routes 29 and 79 will also be detoured during the same period.
