 SEPTA POLICE TO TEACH PASSENGERS HOW TO AVOID PICKPOCKETS
 PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA Police will put on "professional" pickpocket shows this week in Upper Darby and Center City Philadelphia to teach passengers how to avoid pickpockets by demonstrating all the known pickpocket techniques they have become familiar with during their police careers, SEPTA announced during the busiest pickpocket season of the year.
 The police will also offer tips on how to ride SEPTA safely, and answer any questions from passengers.
 The pickpocket demonstrations are part of a regular program conducted by SEPTA Police for civic and senior citizen organizations throughout the region.
 Below are the times and locations for the demonstrations:
 -- Wednesday, Dec. 18: Market East Station, 11th and Market streets, Concourse "B." Every hour, on the hour, between 6 and 8 p.m.
 -- Thursday, Dec. 19: 69th Street Terminal, 69th and Market streets, Upper Darby. Every hour, on the hour, between 9 a.m. and noon.
