SEPTA BROAD STREET LINE 'EAGLES EXPRESS' TRAINS LINED UP
TO BEAT TRAFFIC, PARKING PROBLEMS FOR ALL HOME GAMES
PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA will operate Eagles Express trains on the Broad Street Line for all eight Philadelphia Eagles home games this season starting with the opener on Sunday, Sept. 6, against the New Orleans Saints (1 p.m. kickoff), SEPTA announced today.
The trains scoot in under the traffic and parking problems and stop at Pattison Avenue Station which is just below the gates of Veterans Stadium. SEPTA said the express trip is quick -- 25 minutes from Fern Rock and 8 minutes from City Hall.
Sunday's express trains will leave the Fern Rock Transportation Center at 11:48 a.m., 11:58 a.m., 12:08 p.m. and 12:18 p.m. Expresses stop only at the Olney, Erie, Girard, Race-Vine, City Hall and Walnut- Locust Stations on their way to Pattison Avenue.
On the regular Sunday schedule, local trains also run about every 12 minutes.
SEPTA and the Philadelphia Eagles said that fans planning to attend the 12:30 p.m. memorial ceremony for Jerome Brown before this Sunday's game should use either the first or second express train, or a local train, to get to the stadium on time.
After every game, express and local trains will be standing by below the Vet for northbound service.
