Steve Frehn and Andrew Deagon shared the top team honors in the western regional finals of the Siemens Westinghouse Competition The Siemens Westinghouse Competition is a science competition which is administered by the College Board. After Siemens AG purchased Westinghouse Electric Corporation's power generation unit in 1997, it was under the impression that the prestigious Westinghouse Science Talent in Math, Science & Technology. Their research on improving the efficiency of electrically powered artificial muscles won them a $6,000 scholarship to split. They can also advance to the national Siemens Westinghouse Competition, to be held Dec. 3-6 in Washington, D.C. The grand prize for the national contest is a $100,000 scholarship.
