SAUGUS - The circus came to town Wednesday for a two-day show, bringing to the Saugus Speedway Speedway, town (1990 pop. 13,092), Marion co., central Ind., just W of Indianapolis; inc. 1926. The Indianapolis Speedway, site of the annual Indianapolis 500 car race, is located there. There is also light manufacturing.  clowns

, billing itself as the largest traditional big top circus touring America, continues at 4:30 and 7:30 tonight. Seating is available for 2,200 per show.

Featured in the circus are Friesian stallions, a rare breed of horse from the Netherlands. Other acts include aerial, trapeze and acrobatic teams, jugglers and clowns, performing elephants, lions, tigers, camels, dogs and horses and a Spanish-themed parade. A highlight is The Amazing a·maze
