SELECT SE DATA-MODELING TOOL NOW HAS "DATABASE WRAPPER" ADD-ON

SELECT Software Tools, Irvine, Calif., a vendor of component- based modeling and management tools, has introduced a new product within its SELECT Component Factory (SCF) product line.

SELECT Database Wrapper is an add-on product for SELECT's enterprise-class data modeling tool SELECT SE(TM), which allows users to integrate relational databases with new component-based applications.

SELECT Component Factory (SCF) is an integrated product line designed to help organizations successfully implement a supplier/consumer model of component-based development (CBD). Component suppliers can access and leverage existing IT assets and build new components. Component consumers can assemble applications from pre-supplied components.

SELECT's new component management capability provides the communication between suppliers and consumers. SCF is designed to enable the rapid development of component-based systems that meet evolving business needs. SELECT Database Wrapper, key part of SELECT Component Factory, is designed to help IT organizations integrate existing assets into component-based development.
