SEEC Expands E-Business Management Team.

, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEEC) today announced two additions to its executive management team to support its e-business solutions strategy.

Alan Parnass, founder and chief executive of Mozart Systems Corp., has been named Vice President of Web Solutions, and Shankar Krish, previously SEEC's Director of Product Development, has been appointed Vice President of R&D.

Parnass joins SEEC as part of the company's acquisition of Mozart Systems, announced last month. He is based at the companies' Burlingame, California Burlingame is a city in San Mateo County, California, which is the second wealthiest county in the state, as well as the fourteenth richest in the country. It is located on the San Francisco Peninsula and has a significant shoreline on San Francisco Bay.  offices, just outside of San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden .

Koka continued: "Shankar Krish has been a driving force at SEEC since it was founded in 1988. He has played a key role in developing and extending our products and technology, including the very successful launch of SEEC Re-engineering Workbench(TM) earlier this year. In this new position, Shankar will oversee our Java component strategy and will coordinate integration with the Mozart products, two cornerstones of our long-term growth plan. There is no better person to lead these efforts."

Alan Parnass founded Mozart Systems Corporation in 1985, and led its evolution to a leading provider of Web-enablement products. Prior to founding Mozart, Parnass spent five years with Oracle Corporation, most recently as Vice President of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  Sales. Between 1974-1980, Parnass held several positions with IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Corporation, with an emphasis on improving mainframe application development for large banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions. Prior to joining SEEC, Shankar Krish was a System Architect with ERA Software Systems in Hyderabad, India. Earlier in his career, he held senior software development positions with PERQ PERQ Pascal Evaluation Real Quick  Systems Corp., Data General Corp. and Patni Computer Systems Patni Computer Systems Ltd., is a provider of Information Technology services and business solutions. The company employs over 14,000 people, and has 23 international offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific,as well as offshore development centers in 8 cities in India. . He holds a master's degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Karnatak University, in Dharwar, India.
