SECURPASS SOFTWARE PRODUCT LINE EXPANDS COVERAGE TO DATABASES.

Proginet Corporation (VSE:PRF.U), Garden City, N.Y., has introduced the latest release of its advanced password synchronization product, SecurPass, featuring extensive Applications Programming Interfaces (APIs), customizable user exits, multiple command line options, and customization of restricted password files for international language applications. These capabilities expand the depth and breadth of coverage of Proginet's SecurPass software product line to major databases, including Oracle, Sybase, Informix, SQL, SAP, and several other industry standard databases. Proginet has also announced that the latest version of SecurPass has received Microsoft BackOffice certification.

Proginet's SecurPass password synchronization product provides "out of the box" deployment with unparalleled ease of use, flexibility, scalability and ease of integration with all other platform security systems. Major corporations benefit from this capability because users have to remember only one password and are no longer tempted to write down multiple passwords. With one password they can use a significantly stronger password, reducing the risk/exposure related to the use of weak or written down passwords.

SecurPass integrates the native security of Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 95/98, IBM OS/390, Novell NetWare 3.0/4.0/5.0, IBM AIX, HP UX and Sun Solaris. Supported OS/390 security packages include RACF, CA-ACF2 and CA Top Secret. Corporations that connect their networks to the Internet have a greater level of exposure to intrusion from outside and within. Tighter control of the many different security systems in an organization is required to combat this exposure.

Proginet sells SecurPass directly and through resellers, internationally. Proginet's SecurPass technology is also employed in products sold by Courion Corporation, Schumann AG and Schumann Security Software, and Consul Risk Management.

Proginet is listed on the Vancouver Stock Exchange under the stock symbol (VSE:PRF.U). Proginet's software integrates products from Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), IBM (NYSE:IBM), Computer Associates (NYSE:CA) and Novell (NASDAQ:NOVL), Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ:SUNW), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HWP) and others. Many of the world's largest corporations and government agencies are currently employing industry-leading software developed or owned by Proginet Corporation.
