NORTH Wales Police North Wales Police (Welsh: Heddlu Gogledd Cymru) is the Home Office police force responsible for policing North Wales. The headquarters are in Colwyn Bay, with divisional headquarters in St Asaph, Caernarfon and Wrexham.  were last night criticised over the "dangerous practice" of keeping serious incidents secret from the public.

The Daily Post can reveal that a rape claim, a suspicious death and two indecent assaults were among 1,557 incidents the force failed to disclose in a single weekend.

But during the period, senior officers did publicise Verb 1. publicise - call attention to; "Please don't advertise the fact that he has AIDS"
advertise, advertize, publicize

announce, denote - make known; make an announcement; "She denoted her feelings clearly"
 the fact that a North Wales Police team had been victorious in a run in Snowdonia.
