NORTH Wales Police were last night criticised over the "dangerous practice" of keeping serious incidents secret from the public.

The Daily Post can reveal that a rape claim, a suspicious death and two indecent assaults were among 1,557 incidents the force failed to disclose in a single weekend.

But during the period, senior officers did publicise the fact that a North Wales Police team had been victorious in a run in Snowdonia.
