SEC names Corp. Finance Director.


In February February: see month. , Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Christopher Cox announced the appointment of attorney John W. White to the position of Director of the Division of Corporate Finance, beginning on March 20. As a partner with the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore Moore, city (1990 pop. 40,761), Cleveland co., central Okla., a suburb of Oklahoma City; inc. 1887. Its manufactures include lightning- and surge-protection equipment, packaging for foods, and auto parts.  LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol , White has represented public companies and their financial advisors. He's stepping into the role of the much-admired Alan Beller, who announced his departure in January.

On naming White, Cox put out a statement, first applauding Beller as having successfully met the dual challenges of implementing Sarbanes-Oxley and the most significant securities regulatory reform Regulatory Reform concerns improvements to the quality of government regulation.
