 SEAGRAM CALLS 10-7/8 PERCENT DEBENTURES AND 10 PERCENT BONDS
 MONTREAL, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seagram Company Ltd. (NYSE: VO) announced today that it was calling for redemption all of its outstanding 10-7/8 percent Sinking Fund Debentures due June 1, 1995 and all of its outstanding 10 percent bonds due 1995.
 The 10-7/8 percent Debentures will be redeemed on June 22, 1992 at par plus a premium of 0.60 percent together with accrued and unpaid interest to the redemption date. For each CA $1,000 principal amount of 10-7/8 percent Debenture, the holder will receive CA $1,006 plus accrued interest of CA $6.26 from June 1, 1992 (the last interest payment date) to June 22, 1992. As at April 30, 1992, CA $25,800,000 in principal amount of such debentures were outstanding.
 The 10 percent Bonds will be redeemed on July 10, 1992 at par plus a premium of 1 percent together with accrued and unpaid interest to the redemption date. For each US $1,000 principal amount of 10 percent Bonds, the holder will receive US $1,010 plus accrued interest of US $3.61 from June 27, 1992 (the last interest payment date) to July 10, 1992. As at April 30, 1992, US $100,000,000 in principal amount of such bonds were outstanding.
 The 10-7/8 percent Debentures and the 10 percent Bonds will be payable upon their presentation and surrender together with all unmatured coupons. The 10-7/8 percent Debentures should be presented for payment at any branch in Canada of the Bank of Montreal or other Canadian bank or financial institution. The 10 percent Bonds should be presented for payment at any of the following paying agencies:
