SE-Vision test flights.


The Rockwell Collins Rockwell Collins, Inc. (NYSE: COL) is a large United States-based international company headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, primarily providing aviation and information technology systems, solutions, and services to governmental agencies and aircraft manufacturers.  SE-Vision programme reached a new milestone with the successful completion of military and commercial test flights in June 2005. The SE-Vision flight technology integrates synthetic vision-generated scenes with real-time enhanced vision imagery and is currently testing sensor A device that measures or detects a real-world condition, such as motion, heat or light and converts the condition into an analog or digital representation. An optical sensor detects the intensity or brightness of light, or the intensity of red, green and blue for color systems.  and synthetic imagery for the US Air Force's mobility operations in a low-altitude tactical environment. The June test flights were conducted on a Boeing 727-100 equipped with Rockwell Collins' HGS-4000 Heads-Up Guidance System, Max-Viz dual band infrared An invisible band of radiation at the lower end of the visible light spectrum.
