Hodge, then acting commanding general of SDDC, during a special banquet honoring the traffic managers at the National Defense Transportation Association's 60th Annual Forum and Exposition in Memphis, Tenn. Gail Hutcherson, supervisory traffic management specialist at Fort Hood Fort Hood, U.S. army post, 209,000 acres (84,580 hectares), central Tex., near Killeen; est. 1942 on the site of old Fort Gates and named for Confederate Gen. John Hood. It is one of the army's largest installations and a major employer of the area. , Texas represented the Department of the Army. The other six traffic managers honored at the ceremony include John Leese, Navy; Staff Sgt. Gabriel Martinez, Marine Corps; Senior Master Sgt. Alana Stillwell, Air Force; Judy Spruill, Coast Guard, Kathy Boresma, Defense Logistics Agency and Rose Cobb, Army/Air Force Exchange Service. Awardees represented a wide-range of transportation responsibilities including support for humanitarian missions and military exercises, passenger transportation services, distribution pipeline management, commercial travel, aviation inventory movement, truckload deliveries and shipment documentation.
