SCV OPENS UP WALLETS, HEARTS WITH DONATIONS.

SANTA CLARITA - The city's 911 SCV Relief Effort has netted $56,000 so far for survivors of the terrorist attacks on New York City New York City: see New York, city.

Local residents, businesses, clubs and churches have made donations from pocket change to sizable checks. The fund will be divided among seven relief organizations.

The Santa Clarita City Council contributed a $25,000 match.

The money continues to come in, said Pam Matsuoka, a community services analyst for the city. On Monday, Matsuoka was counting through the latest contributions.

``I have about $30 or so here,'' she said. ``It comes in change, which adds up, and some bigger corporate donations.''

The fund-raising started at a Sept. 21 support rally at City Hall, where donations can still be submitted. Donors are asked to earmark earmark
