SCV CAN'T KICK SOCCER HABIT; SPORT ENJOYING ALL-TIME HIGH IN POPULARITY.Byline: Stacy Brown Daily News Staff Writer Soccer has become one of the favorite pastimes in the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672. where nearly 6,000 youths play at various locations each week. Moms and dads and friends and relatives all come out in huge numbers cheering their young heroes. ``It grows every year out here.
