``The exhibit will include many installation works and everything from small, table-top pieces to monumental art,'' said Louise Rochkind, secretary and June show chairwoman for the association. She added that the annual event is not a craft-oriented show. ``This is the only outdoor, 3-D, all-sculpture show of this magnitude in Southern California.''

Several Ventura County sculptors, as well as artists from as far away as Oregon, will participate this year.

JeanCherie, founding member of the Golden State Sculptors' Association, said she is thrilled about the new location for the exhibit. JeanCherie plans to display her bronzes and alabaster alabaster, fine-grained, massive, translucent variety of gypsum, a hydrous calcium sulfate. It is pure white or streaked with reddish brown. Alabaster, like all other forms of gypsum, forms by the evaporation of bedded deposits that are precipitated mainly from  stone carvings this year.

Thousand Oaks artist Annemarie Han-Schooneveldt was happy to be exhibiting her works in her own city and agreed that the Civic Arts Plaza is a perfect location for the exhibit.

``The grounds are well-kept and beautiful,'' she said.

Han-Schooneveldt is known for her smooth and rounded, whimsically charming ceramic sculptures of people.

Several small and large pieces from her recent collection will be on display at the show.
