 No special technical literacy is required to use this electronic alerting service. Instead of having to understand online retrieval language, users of the Comtex service simply define a personalized profile based only on subjects relevant to their interests. News articles are then matched against the company's, department's or individual's profile to provide a personalized news service which is delivered to specified E-mail boxes.
