SCOTT RUNS OVER SAUGUS IN MOORPARK TRIUMPH SCORES FOUR TDS, GETS 271 YARDS MOORPARK 37, SAUGUS 15.

Darrell Scott is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has written several mainstream country hits, and also has established himself as one of Nashville's premier session

There was no need for the Moorpark running back to celebrate. The 6- foot-1, 205-pound junior had been there before.

Scott has been a touchdown machine for the Musketeers this season, and in Moorpark's 37-15 Northern Division quarterfinal victory against Saugus at College of the Canyons College of the Canyons is one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the state. According to the National Junior College Research Association, College of the Canyons consistently ranks in the top 50 community colleges in the nation. , it was more of the same.

Scott had 264 yards on 21 carries, giving him 2,820 yards and 41 touchdowns this season.

Scott will have a shot at breaking the 3,000-yard mark next week, when the Musketeers (10-2) host Hart of Newhall in the semifinals.

``It's not boring,'' Scott said. ``I think I'm at 41 touchdowns. Man, that is a lot. I can't believe I'm doing this stuff out here. It's not effortless; it takes a team, the line not getting lazy. They do their job I do my job and we got a `W'''.

Part of Scott's success is the Musketeers' offensive line led by 6-foot-6, 315-pound George Halamandaris and 6-foot-4, 280-pound John Martinez John Martinez(Also known as John Death) is a Musician based out of Southern California who is currently playing guitar in a Post hardcore band called A Static Lullaby. He has also played in bands such as Adair, Falling Cycle, Screams Of Serenity, Hit The Switch, and others. .

``I look for the hole,'' Scott said. ``Once I get through it, there's nobody there. I kick it into another gear and it's basically another TD.''
