SCIENCE DYNAMICS ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL SECURITY AND CENTRALIZED
 CONTROL FOR INMATE TELEPHONE SYSTEMS
CHERRY HILL, N.J., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Dynamics Corporation (NASDAQ: SIDY) announced the availability of two new significant features for its collect call timing device (CCTD) -- a multi-level Security Access control and a Centralized Administration System.
The CCTD is an inmate telephone control and administration system that provides call timing and blocking and reduces fraud and annoyance calls.
In addition to User ID's and Passwords, there are now three Access Levels within the system features to protect the CCTD Subsystem and Administrative Workstation from unauthorized access. The Administrative Workstation is located at the correctional facility for use by an Inmate Telephone System Administrator. Together, the access control, user ID and password significantly enhance system security by preventing the reading, modification and destruction of critical records and system parameters by unauthorized personnel. A security log records all access activities either attempted or completed, along with the user ID.
The CCTD is available with a Centralized Administration System which provides for the control and administration of multiple CCTD systems from a single, remote location. This capability allows for a unified, yet flexible method of administering several prison locations. The Centralized Poller, when connected via modem to an Administrative Workstation, has full control to update databases, change system parameters, and search Call Detail Records (CDR's). CDR files transferred to the Central Workstation are stored on hard disk and tape. Stored data can be retrieved on demand and used to generate reports and document inmate telephone activity based upon specific search parameters.
Science Dynamics Corporation designs and manufacturers telecommunications products that provide Voice Announcements, Intelligent Network Control and Administration, Enhanced Network Security, Interactive Communications, and Call Processing and Response capabilities to public telephone networks, domestic and foreign. Science Dynamics has more than 14,000 units of various types in operation in all RBOCS and major independent telephone companies. Science Dynamics' stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market (OTC).
