In Illinois, these districts are called unit school districts. is seeking applicants to fill a school board seat left vacant when former trustee Jeremeh Job resigned in June to take a job with the district. The deadline to apply for the seat is 4 p.m. Oct. 9. Applications can be obtained from the district office, 17100 Foothill Ave. in North Edwards. The board is scheduled to interview candidates at its Oct. 11 meeting. Applicants must be 18 or older, a resident of Boron and a registered voter VOTER. One entitled to a vote; an elector. in the district. The term left by Job expires in 2008. Job is now director of facilities, operations and planning for Muroc. Incumbent Diane Boroff will keep Muroc's other Boron seat, as she was the only one to file.
