What: Hugh Hefner Hugh Marston Hefner (born April 9, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois), also referred to colloquially as Hef,[1] is the founder, editor-in-chief, and Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises[2]. He is the majority owner of Playboy Enterprise Inc.  invites celebs, the media and local retailers to officially launch his latest Playboy enterprise, the Playboy cigar.

Others are actors Judd Nelson and Gregory Plummer, singer-dancer Carmen Electra, comic Chuck McCann and rocker Vince Neil. 1996 Playmate of the Year Stacy Sanches and several other Playmates are also present.

Berle, asked when he arrived if he was going to smoke a cigar, said, ``Just one.''

On smoking cigars, August 1986 Playmate Ava Fabian said she's ``just learning ... beginning to acquire a taste,'' and December 1992 Playmate Barbara Moore said, ``I like them, they keep me from smoking cigarettes.''
