SCEJ Announces March Final Fantasy XII Limited Edition Launch.

Tokyo, Japan, Jan 9, 2006 - (JCN) - Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment, has announced a collaboration with Square Enix, and the Japanese release of Final Fantasy XII pack (SCPH - 75000 FF) for PlayStation 2. The pack will launch as a special limited edition on March 16, 2006, targeting the spring sale season of 2006.

The pack, in addition to Square Enix's long-awaited epic RPG software Final Fantasy XII scheduled for release on the same day, will include a PS2 console bearing the insignia of Judge Master, one of the game's main characters; a PS2 stand; and a limited edition cell phone strap. The set's packaging will also feature the Judge Master logo.

With the development of Final Fantasy XII, expected to be SCEJ's best-selling title of the 2006 spring season, in conjunction with the set's release, the opportunity is there for more users to become part of the world of Final Fantasy, and worldwide PS2 sales are expected to exceed 100 million units.
