Deputies stopped Day and 45-year-old Randy Barro of Canyon Country as the men drove a truck and trailer loaded with two 55-gallon drums on a dirt road dirt road n (US) → camino sin firme

``When the deputies investigated the area they found the new trailer and materials that looked like they came from a construction site, things like rolls of conduit wire,'' Blackstock said. ``We had to call out (the Hazardous Materials team) to find out what kind of chemicals were inside the two big drums Big Drum is a genre and a musical instrument from the Windward Islands. It is a kind of Caribbean music, associated mostly closely with the music of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carriacou in Grenada and in the music of Saint Kitts and Nevis. .''

A supply of heavy-grade aluminum also was found with the barrels.

In addition to the felony theft charges, Day and Barro were charged with possession of tools used in burglaries. Blackstock did not describe the tools but said such items are often used to pry open doors and cut through metal materials.

``It looks like these two are a couple of Dumpster divers who like to collect junk,'' Blackstock said. ``But some of the junk appears to be stolen. We're continuing to investigate. And we're trying to find out who owns that land.''

The men are scheduled to be arraigned today in Newhall Superior Court.
