"In the past, HP users had to dedicate a console port if they wanted to use EIA-232 as a SICL interface -- connecting several instruments was not an option," said Bill Allen, SBE's vice president of sales and marketing. "The new SEUS4470 gives HP users the flexibility to attach multiple SICL instruments and to mix different serial peripherals on their workstations. SBE's drivers and installation software will allow HP users to easily upgrade their systems to include this functionality." The SEUS4470 4-port EISA controller card with SBE's TULIP driver lists for $1,090 and will be available June 1.
