Como parte de los cursos de la Pre-exposicion ICE 2006, FSCT FSCT Federation of Societies for Coating Technology
FSCT Fire Support Control Terminal

As part of the ICE 2006 Preshow Short Courses, FSCT and SATER (Sociedad Argentina de Tecnologos en Recubrimientos) will present two coatings workshops for Spanish-speaking visitors. One registration fee covers both workshops. Course content will be presented in Spanish only; no simultaneous translations will be provided.

Tuesday, October 31 * 8:00 am-5:00 pm * Room 350

Workshop 1

Emulsion Polymers

* Part 1: Fundamentals of the Adhesion Theory

* Part 2: Percolation Theory In mathematics, percolation theory describes the behavior of connected clusters in a random graph. The applications of percolation theory to materials science and other domains are discussed in the article percolation.  Applied to the Synthesis of Binders for Paints: Practical Examples

This workshop focuses on adhesion technology for waterborne industrial coatings An industrial coating is a paint or coating defined by its protective, rather than its aesthetic properties, although it can provide both.
The most common use of industrial coatings is for corrosion control of steel or concrete.
. Examples of applications include kitchen cabinets, doors, and coatings for plastics.

Workshop 2

Hugo Tomas De Notta, Dow Latinoamerica y Hugo Augusto Haas, Pulverlux SA.

Good Painting Practices for Large Metallic Industrial Structures

This workshop covers the best techniques for applying industrial paints to large metallic structures.

Who Should Attend

The workshops provide technical information for paint manufacturers, industry suppliers, and users of coatings and paint materials at all levels. They are specifically recommended for formulators, paint users, chemists, engineers, and quality control personnel.

What You Will Learn

* Gain an overall understanding of the fundamentals of the adhesion theory for waterborne industrial coatings.

* Become familiar with the new requirements in terms of adhesion on difficult substrates.

* Obtain the latest technical information and receive application technology guidelines guidelines,
