SATER to host Report 2004 and "Pinturas Inteligentes" Expo and Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina.REPORT 2004, a major exhibition for the Spanish-speaking coatings industry, is scheduled for September 1-3, 2004 at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The three-day event three-day event a competition in the pleasure horse sport comprising usually one day each for dressage, cross country and show jumping. is hosted by SATER, the Sociedad Argentina de Tecnologos en Recubrimientos. "Pinturas Inteligentes," the conference portion and main event of REPORT 2004, will be presented in Spanish by speakers from Argentina, the U.S., and other countries within the Americas and Europe. As keynote speakers for the technical conference, Jamil Baghdachi, of Eastern Michigan University Eastern Michigan University, mainly at Ypsilanti, Mich.; coeducational; founded 1849 as a normal school, became Eastern Michigan College in 1956, gained university status in 1959. , Ypsilanti, MI, and Dean Webster of North Dakota State University North Dakota State University, at Fargo; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered and opened 1890 as North Dakota Agricultural College, achieved university status in 1960. , Fargo, ND, will present three seminars: "Smart Coatings" and "Improving Durability and Performance of Coatings," by Dr. Baghdachi, and "Advanced Polymer Chemistry in the Coatings Industry," by Dr. Webster. These seminars are sponsored by the FSCT. The conference program will also include several highlights for technical personnel as well as those in sales and management. In addition to the seminars, the conference will also include technical presentations on the advancement of modern technologies available in the market, a seminar on color, and business presentations by various suppliers. A "Paint for Non-Technicals" course covering the basic aspects of paints, inks, and raw materials will be offered for attendees in sales positions. Also, a management-focused presentation on competitiveness in the industry will be offered. Over 30 raw material and equipment suppliers will cover the 500 sq m international exhibition.
