SARATOGA BRANDS TO BEGIN DISTRIBUTING NEW SNACKS IN METRO NEW YORK

BRONX, N.Y., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Saratoga Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: STGA) announced today that it will begin distribution of two new premium snacks to selected chain supermarkets and independent stores in metro New York.
The products, "Sunny Avocado," a guacamole flavored tortilla chip, and "Pocket Pretzels," a peanut butter filled pretzel nugget, address growing consumer interest in high quality, excellent tasting and healthy snacks. SARATOGA expects the products to produce at least $300,000- $500,000 in gross revenue during the first year of distribution.
Saratoga, metro New York's only local full line snack food manufacturer and distributor, currently services approximately 500 chains and a large number of independent stores throughout metro New York with its route distribution system.
"Distributing these snacks is in line with Saratoga's strategy of adding products to the route distribution system that complement our manufactured line," said Dan Feld, president. "The result is retail customers are properly serviced on an independent vendor's product, and consumers can purchase products that would not be available otherwise."
Saratoga Brands Inc., whose premium potato chips include brand names "Saratoga Potato Chips" and "George Crum's Special Batch," also manufactures "Mom & Popcorn" and distributes "Reisman Pretzel," "New York's Muncho Crunchy Tortilla Chips," and other premium snack foods in metro New York. Saratoga supplies private lable kettle-cooked potato chips for Waldbaum's and ShopRite in metro New York and provides a variety of snack foods to airline and institutional customers. The company recently introduced a line of super premium products including Sweet Potato Chips and Real Vegetable Chips.
