The agreement stems from a close working relationship between the two companies and promises to establish global operational standards for middle-tier applications through a proven set of solution modules and applications. SAP and Abaco have enjoyed a longstanding relationship, delivering mobile enterprise solutions for many of the Global 1,000 companies. Abaco will draw on its previous experiences with integrations of SAP(TM) and mySAP.com to build a library of application templates, laying the groundwork for the establishment of global operational standards for SAP and mySAP.com middle-tier mobile business solutions and supporting the SAP and mySAP.com Mobile Business initiatives to deliver leading end-to-end mobile solutions.

The middle-tier, defined as a server with application logic residing between mobile devices and business systems, enables bilateral communication between such devices and systems.
