In this process, hydrogen gas and hydroxide ions are produced at the cathode, leading to an alkaline solution air purification series designed to remove airborne viruses and allergens with electrolyzed water in spaces of all size. SANYO developed the 'virus washer' system to remove bacteria without the use of any chemicals. This system utilizes tap water only with SANYO's proprietary electrolyzed water technology.
